Learn to Ride

We are currently running weekly learn to ride sessions for children age 5 and upwards with experienced coaches.

Our Sunday Kids Bike Club is no longer running therefore we are not currently running sessions suitable for toddlers or under 5s.

Sessions are one hour after school currently on a Monday from 3.30-4.30pm. They are held indoors over winter and are suitable for older children or children with some additional support needs.

Sessions will move to our outdoor space in better weather.

Children will attend weekly until they are confident pedalling, controlling the bike, starting and stopping safely.

Our coaches aim to make all children feel welcome, confident and included. The initial block is four sessions but children will develop skills in their own time, so our sessions are not limited to a specific number per child, although we may advise that children get extra practice in when they can!

We have bikes and helmets available to use and we can advise on a suitable size bike for your child once they are pedalling.

We will also have additional sessions during the holidays.

Learn to ride sessions are booked by direct message only. Kids will go onto a waiting list until a space becomes available. We will then contact you directly to advise availability.

Session cost is £30 for the initial block of four followed by £7.50 per additional lesson. Payment is online, cash or card also available.

To go onto the waiting list, click on the link and let us know your child name and age.

Adult Cycling Skills

Drumchapel Cycle Hub offer group cycling instruction for adults, from complete beginners or returning to cycling and looking to improve skills.

Sessions are weekdays on Monday from 10-11am and Wednesday 12.30-1.30pm.

Please note that the Wednesday session won't run through July due to our Kids Summer Holiday programme.

We have bikes suitable for all sizes or you can use your own. We will also ensure that your own bike is safety checked, repaired if necessary and set up correctly for you. We can also advise about suitable bikes if you are interested in purchasing a new bike.
